Pat grew up in the Pacific Northwest but now travels extensively throughout the United States resulting in a varied choice of subjects. She has been painting for over thirty years. She particularly enjoys portraits of children selecting poses that evoke a sense of a mood or attitude. Her style is representational yet sharing with the viewer that surrealistic quality that originally caught her attention. Her primary focus is on color harmony and texture using minimalist backgrounds to keep the emphasis on the main subject.
